Anne Herbauts née à Bruxelles en 1975.
Études supérieures à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles en Illustration & Bande Dessinée dans l’atelier de Anne Quévy et Bruno Goosse.
Auteur et illustratrice depuis plus d’une vingtaine d’années, elle a publié une cinquantaine de livres, principalement des albums pour la jeunesse. Son travail est essentiellement dédié au livre (albums jeunesse, BD, livres graphiques), mais elle expérimente parfois d’autres supports narratifs comme le court-métrage (vidéo et film d’animation), et les espaces-narratifs.
Elle n’est ni dans l’image, ni dans le texte, mais dans les deux à la fois. Le livre et le temps sont ses matières premières.
Ses éditeurs principaux sont les Éditions Casterman, les Éditions Esperluète, Pastel, Ecole des Loisirs (depuis 2019). Elle a également publié aux éditions de L’an 2 – Actes Sud, Le Rouergue…
Elle a reçu en novembre 2021 le Grand prix triennal de littérature de jeunesse de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Studeerde Illustratie en Comics aan de Académie des Beaux-Arts in Brussel in het atelier van Anne Quévy en Bruno Goosse.
Zij is al meer dan twintig jaar auteur en illustrator en heeft een vijftigtal boeken gepubliceerd, voornamelijk albums voor jongeren. Haar werk is in wezen het boek (kinderboeken, strips, grafische boeken), maar ze experimenteert soms ook met andere narratieve media zoals korte films (video en animatiefilm), en narratieve ruimtes.
Zij is noch in het beeld noch in de tekst, maar in beide tegelijk. Boeken en tijd zijn haar grondstoffen.
Haar belangrijkste uitgevers zijn Éditions Casterman, Éditions Esperluète, Pastel, Ecole des Loisirs (sinds 2019). Ze heeft ook gepubliceerd bij L’an 2 – Actes Sud, Le Rouergue…

She studied Illustration and Comics at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Brussels in the studio of Anne Quévy and Bruno Goosse.
Author and illustrator for more than twenty years, she has published about fifty books, mainly albums for young people. Her work is essentially published through children’s books, comics or graphic books, but she sometimes experiments other narrative media such as short films (video and animated film), and narrative spaces.
She is neither in the image nor in the text, but in both at the same time. Books and time are her raw materials.

à pieds joints est une installation réalisée à quatre mains par Loren Capelli et aNNe herbauts.
Au cœur de cette proposition, il y a le livre, qui nous réunit et que nous envisageons comme un organisme vivant, mêlant connaissances et expériences sensibles.
Loren
Matérialisation et dématérialisation d’une flaque : Quand nous regardons une flaque, notre œil et réunit tous ces niveaux en une image. Si nous devons photographier cette flaque, nous devrons choisir quel niveau capter. Écrire avec le texte et l’image, dans l’album, c’est écrire l’ensemble de tous les niveaux narratifs en une écriture invisible, qui n’existe pas réellement, mais qui opère entre le texte et l’image.

Vernissage de l’exposition, rencontre avec les artistes et dédicaces, en collaboration la librairie Le Rat Conteur, samedi 19 mars à 16:00.

De kern van dit voorstel is het boek, dat ons samenbrengt en dat wij zien als een levend organisme, waarin kennis en gevoelige ervaringen samenvloeien.

Materialisering en dematerialisering van een plas: Wanneer wij naar een plas kijken, verzamelt ons oog al deze niveaus tot een beeld. Als we deze plas willen fotograferen, zullen we moeten kiezen welk niveau we willen vastleggen. Schrijven met tekst en beeld, in het album, betekent het geheel van alle narratieve niveaus schrijven in een onzichtbaar schrift, dat niet echt bestaat, maar dat tussen de tekst en het beeld opereert.

At the heart of this proposal is the book, which brings us together and which we see as a living organism, combining knowledge and sensitive experiences.

Materialization and dematerialization of a puddle: When we look at a puddle, our eye gathers all these levels into an image. If we are to photograph this puddle, we will have to choose which level to capture. Writing with text and image, in the album, means writing the whole of all the narrative levels in an invisible writing, which does not really exist, but which operates between the text and the image.

Retour aux sources pour celle qui s’est formée à l’Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts avec celle qu’elle appelle toujours son maître, Anne Quévy. C’est cette dernière qui se prêtera à l’exercice de l’entretien, où il sera question de chemins buissonniers, de rêverie, de transmission, de livres, de création bien sûr.

Terug naar de roots voor degene die opgeleid is aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten bij degene die zij nog steeds haar meester noemt, Anne Quévy. Het is deze laatste die zich zal lenen voor de oefening van het interview, waar de kwesties van bushwalking, dagdromen, transmissie, boeken, creatie natuurlijk zullen worden gedeeld voor groter publiek.
