Retour aux sources pour celle qui s’est formée à l’Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts avec celle qu’elle appelle toujours son maître, Anne Quévy. C’est cette dernière qui se prêtera à l’exercice de l’entretien, où il sera question de chemins buissonniers, de rêverie, de transmission, de livres, de création bien sûr.

Éditrice pendant plus de vingt ans aux éditions Albin Michel, elle a dirigé le label Trapèze, où l’illustration jeunesse débordait déjà de ses limites traditionnelles, allant frayer du côté d’une plus grande liberté de création. En 2021, Béatrice Vincent a fondé avec d’autres alliées La Partie, une nouvelle aventure éditoriale. Elle vient raconter son parcours mais aussi sa vision singulière du livre, de la création, du rapport aux auteur·ices et illustrateur·ices.
Meer dan twintig jaar lang was ze redactrice bij Albin Michel en leidde ze het label Trapèze, waar de kinderillustratie haar traditionele grenzen al aan het verleggen was, op weg naar een grotere creatieve vrijheid. In 2021 richt Béatrice Vincent samen met andere bondgenoten La Partie op, een nieuw uitgeefavontuur. Ze komt ons vertellen over haar reis, maar ook over haar eigenzinnige visie op boeken, creatie en de relatie met auteurs en illustratoren.
As an editor for more than twenty years at Albin Michel, she directed the Trapèze label, where children’s illustration was already breaking out of its own limits, moving towards greater creative freedom. In 2021, Béatrice Vincent founded with other allies La Partie, a new publishing adventure. She comes to tell us about her journey but also about her singular vision of books, creation, and the relationship with authors and illustrators.
